A mapping feature helps your robot navigate through rooms while an obstacle avoidance feature will stop it from hitting wires, furniture or other pet toys. These are must-have features in my house, filled with toys that are scattered about.
- Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, is packed with features. It can sweep and mop in one session and can lift its mop pads and brushes to prevent soft surfaces from getting too damp. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, with the ability to spot pet toys, plants and other small objects.
The robot vacuum's maximum suction power is 6 000 pascals. This is higher than any vacuum we've tested to date. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it becoming stuck on objects.
The S8 Pro Ultra's mopping capabilities are also impressive. It can apply constant pressure to the pad at over 6 Newtons to give a thorough clean. It also has a mop lifter system that lifts the pad automatically as it transitions between tile and laminate hardwood, carpet or rugs to prevent soaking soft surfaces.
In addition, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying capabilities. The pad is capable of rinsing and then drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty before returning to the dock. This means you can just put it away and forget about it, only needing to replace the dust bag or refill the water tank on occasion.
All this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. The S8 Pro Ultra ran on its standard mop- and vac-settings for around 160 minutes before it started to lose power and returned to its base to recharge. This isn't too far off of the 180 minutes that Roborock claims and is comparable with other hybrids that I've test.
This is a very robust and well-rounded product with the only drawback being that it's expensive. But, the sheer number of features makes it a appealing alternative for anyone who wishes to get rid of their old stick vacuums and mops. If you can justify the hefty price tag we strongly recommend checking this one out.
- Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is an expensive combination. The price is justified by the powerful features, such as a huge vacuuming capability, as well as two gyrating mop heads. It comes with an app-enabled smart controller as well as an advanced obstacle-avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra has a retail price of 999 Euros which is one of the most expensive robotic vacuum and mop combos on the market. Contrary to the other hybrid mops I test and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced debris pickup performance on carpets. The mops on the L10S Ultra aren't as effective at removing stubborn staining as the Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra’s high-end features it still requires regular maintenance. To avoid mildew and unpleasant odors, the base unit dustbag, water and tanks must be cleaned, emptied and dried regularly. It is also important to note that the mop pads that are bought separately, will need to be replaced on a regular basis too.
With the L10S Ultra's high-end pricing and its extensive features I would highly recommend it to anyone who has the funds for it. If you're on a budget I suggest a more basic model that allows you to save money and still enjoy hands-free cleaning at your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robotic mop and vacuum combination you could buy but its price and ongoing maintenance will make it seem more an item to have than one that you actually need.
- Eufy S1 Pro
Eufy S1 Pro is the robot vacuum and mop that you require to get rid of messes and remove dirt from your hard floors. The S1 Pro comes ready to use out of the package as do most robotic vacuums and mops. It must be filled with clean water, but this is simple to do in the cleaning dock. You can also add a cleaning solution to the dock, if you prefer to have the option of using your own cleaner. If you opt for this option, however, you will have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution which is more expensive than other robot brands that allow you to choose your preferred brand of cleaners.
As with most robots like it, the S1 Pro did well in the area of coverage and navigation efficiency. It was fast to map a room and it was able to navigate through furniture. It got stuck on carpets with thick piles a couple of times during my tests. However, this could be improved by updating the software. The S1 Pro is a very capable all-in-one robot for a reasonable price.
- Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum but it does have some outstanding features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag and replenishes its water tanks, while washing and sanitizing mop pads as it goes. The mopping system is able to sweep a large area before returning to its dock. The vacuum's suction power is great for picking up pet hair and other debris from carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is extensive, and provides various options for customizing the cleaning process. You can manually initiate a full map and clean of everything mapped by the device, or you can select particular rooms, expandable zones, or even a routine you've crafted. There are several mopping options which include SmartPlan -an algorithm that makes use of the mops' sensors to determine the most efficient way to tidy your home as it maps the space.
The Qrevo was a great performer in our tests, like the other Roborock models we've test. Its navigation system is efficient by quickly mapping rooms and cleaning them in a well-organized way. The default pathing setting does an excellent job of covering a space, with no major gaps or missing areas. Reactive Tech's hazard-avoidance feature works well too, but it's not as advanced as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can detect dangers such as carpets with thick padding, but might not be able to recognize smaller items such as electrical wires and rug tassels.
The machine has a major problem: it doesn't include a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who regularly vacuum before using their robot. There's an easy solution: the app has an option that allows you to "clean up" at the conclusion of every vacuuming session. This allows you to use the mopping feature of the vacuum to get rid of the last traces of debris and dust left behind by your vacuuming. It's a nice feature and helps the robot make its clean better than its competitors with lower prices.
